The reveal at the end was horrifying and brilliant. The tension of the final confrontation was almost unbearable. It was a perfectly executed climax.
I found the use of BDSM to explore the themes of trust, control, and surrender incredibly original. In a story where Alexis fears losing control to her visions and her relationships, creating a safe, consensual space for her to explore surrender was a brilliant way to externalize her internal journey. It made the spicy scenes feel deeply meaningful.
After everything they went through, the epilogue was so heartwarming. It was the perfect ending.
