And the one man she never expected to see again.

Nick Robinson is making it clear he is back in her life, whatever that means, forcing Mia to question her heart as well as her sanity. If she is ever to be at peace again, she will have to solve more than one mystery.

She’ll have to find out just what love and loss can make a person do.

I could not put this book down! I received an ARC of Dream of Me and I was not disappointed. This book has a little bit of tragedy, mystery, spice, enemies to lovers, and everything you could want. Twists and turns, great detail, and was a great read. I can't wait to see more from Selena and I'd recommend this book to anyone that will listen!

Good love story, ghosts, mystery all wrapped together in a good book. I did not see the who done it twist coming at all. It will make a great fall read.

CW: death of a child, dead of a spouse

This was a mixture of tropes and subgenres that caught me off guard. We have elements of romantic suspense, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and a sprinkling of horror. But ultimately, it's a romance where we have two people coming together over shared grief, through rebuilding trust and coming to terms with their losses.

The characters in the story were fully fleshed out and you could really feel the grief that the heroine was experiencing and being stuck in that difficult situation where she felt abandoned at a time where she was suffering so badly, but the person doing the abandoning was also running away from their suffering at the same time. We had a balance of sympathy for both characters so even though it had an enemies to lovers vibe, neither character came across as villainous (which I really appreciated, as I sometimes find it difficult to get past some character's previous discretions).

The romantic suspense element was really well done and I loved the addition of the horroresque element that was woven through it, it added further dimension to the plot and helped carry the story forwards while removing the stereotypical who-dun-it vibe that can become quite stale with romantic suspense.

The only negative for me was that there was a particular situation in the book that seemed really rushed. I don't want to say too much about it because it's a spoiler, but I felt that it would've fit in better right at the end of the story, rather than where it was in the book. But it wasn't a dealbreaker for me, I still loved the story.

Also, 10/10 for the Chad joke at the beginning of the book 😂😂😂
